A real butterfly wing set behind a clear glass dome in a sterling silver setting. The wing is magically iridescent and changes colour depending on the direction of the light.

Morpho butterflies get their colour from light refraction caused by tiny scales on the surface of the wing. The iridescent blue you see, is in fact an optical illusion!

care

Even though the wing has been sealed, care should be taken to avoid contact with excessive moisture and heat. Polish with a dry, silver polishing cloth. When not worn, store in a cool dark place to maintain the wing colour for years to come.
